Cinnamon Leaf, steam-distilled from the leaves of the Cinnamomum verum tree, offers a warm, spicy, and slightly herbaceous aroma that is less sweet but still unmistakably cinnamon. Native to Sri Lanka and parts of Southeast Asia, this oil is a more gentle and cost-effective alternative to Cinnamon Bark Oil, yet it retains many of the same therapeutic qualities.
Rich in eugenol, Cinnamon Leaf oil possesses powerful antimicrobial, antifungal, and analgesic properties. It is commonly used to boost immunity, combat colds, and purify the air when diffused. When diluted, it can also be used in massage blends to ease sore muscles and joint pain thanks to its warming and stimulating effects on circulation.
Emotionally, this oil invigorates the senses and uplifts the mood, making it a great addition to blends that fight fatigue or mental fog. It also supports emotional resilience, helping to dispel feelings of weakness or discouragement.
In natural perfumery, Cinnamon Leaf oil adds depth to spicy or exotic blends, and blends well with both citrus and grounding base notes. Its versatility and warming qualities make it a valuable oil in both therapeutic and aromatic applications.
